2018 Louis Jadot Beaune Aux Cras Premier Cru

The House of Louis Jadot has been producing exceptional Burgundy wines since its founding in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. For the past 150 years Louis Jadot has continued as one of the great names of Burgundy and has gained international acclaim for its Burgundy wines. Louis Jadot is not only one of the largest producers of estate Burgundies in the Cote d'Or, but also one of the most celebrated exporters of premium Burgundies. They own 140 acres of vineyards from 24 of the most prestigious sites in Burgundy.

The 2018 Beaune Aux Cras Premier Cru shows sophistication and beauty the minute you open it. The wine is brilliant ruby with aromas that leap from the glass with notes of fresh cherries, mixed red berries, a whiff of perfume, orange peel, baking spices and a hint of earth. The palate is medium to full-bodied, vibrant, and expressive. The brooding core is layered with seamless red fruits and silky tannins. A burst of fresh acidity pulls everything together with a long, juicy mouthwatering finish. A wonderful classic Burgundy made in the old-world style from a house that has amazing pedigree.
