Bergstrom Wines is a family-owned and operated producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay which was started in 1999 by Dr. John and Karen Bergstrom, along with the help of their son Josh Bergstrom and his wife Caroline. Josh is general manager, vineyard manager and winemaker and pulls his expertise from his education in Burgundy, France. He has 14 years of experience making wines in Oregon's Northern Willamette Valley. Bergstrom focuses on hand-crafting small lots of wines from their five estate vineyards. They are carefully chosen from five of Oregon's six wine-growing appellations. All estate acreage is farmed biodynamically and all wines express the wonderful diversity of Oregon's many great terroirs. Bergström Wines consists of five estate vineyards totaling 84 acres that span across four of the Willamette Valley’s best appellations.

The 2019 Bergstrom Le Pre Col Vineyard Pinot Noir is an exceptional wine. Layered, generous and refined in every way describes the sensations experienced in smelling and tasting this gorgeous wine. The color is bright ruby red with fragrant aromas right out of the glass There is ripe red fruit, roses, cinnamon, a whiff of orange peel and a hint of licorice. The palate is plush, with a vibrant youthfulness and richly concentrated with blue and red fruit throughout. There is an underlying tension that holds it all together. The tannins are grainy and sweet. There is delicious mouthfeel with bright acidity racing to a spicy, long, caressing finish. Fantastic!! Tasted after an hour of aeration and the wine became more balanced and seamless. This lovely Pinot Noir Le Pre Col Vineyard from Bergstrom would benefit from 3 – 5 years in the cellar.
