2019 Cellier des Dauphins Cairanne Côtes du Rhône
Established in 1967 the Union of Côtes du Rhône winegrowers (UVCDR) has brought together 2,300 winemaking families in the southern Rhone Valley. In total, they encompass 30,900 acres of vineyards. Cellier des Dauphins has become the pride of these winemakers producing wine from 20 AOC’s. The vineyards of Cellier des Dauphins extend from the southeast of the Rhone Valley to the foot of Mont Ventoux.
The bright ruby color of this Côtes du Rhône is the first indicator of its supple and straightforward style. Don’t be misled, as it is delicious throughout with an abundance of currants and juicy red fruits. The spices are buried within as you get a sensation of sweet oak in the background. It all comes together in the end with a youthful and balanced finish.
