2019 Famille Perrin Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Sinards

Famille Perrin’s involvement in the wine trade can be traced back to 1909 with the purchase of Château de Beaucastel. Today, the 5th generation of the family is involved in every aspect of the business. Famille Perrin’s range of wines enables you to discover the richness and diversity of the Southern Rhône Valley. It is no coincidence that Famille Perrin is the leading organic wine grower of the Southern Rhône Valley, where they occupy the region’s best terroirs. Their values have given them a worldwide reputation for excellence: absolute respect for the soil, a commitment to manual methods, and a deep belief that organic viticulture is the only way to express the true essence of the terroir. Nature and tradition are key to the Famille Perrin approach, which has continued seamlessly over five generations. Their pedigree is revealed in the wines.

There is a lot to enjoy about the 2019 Sinards! It is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. The wine has a beautiful, deep color with garnet undertones. The nose reveals notes of very baked dark fruit, blueberries, blackberries, and some notes of cinnamon, cedar, and a hint of minerality. On the palate, the 2019 Sinards is elegant with a beautiful purity and silky, juicy tannins. Racy acidity is laced throughout the palate, creating a wonderful balance all the way to a long finish that is harmonious; it goes on for minutes expressing all the quality of this great vintage. I believe the 2019 Sinards will show more layers and complexity with 3 - 7 years of aging.
