2021 Chappellet Sangiacomo Vineyard, Carneros Chardonnay

For more than four decades, the Chappellet family has been crafting world-class wines from fruit cultivated on the steep, rocky slopes of Napa Valley's renowned Pritchard Hill. As one of the first wineries to pioneer high-elevation hillside planting, and one of the few remaining great family-owned Napa Valley wineries, Chappellet Vineyard and Winery has influenced generations of vintners. Throughout its history, Chappellet has established an enduring legacy as one of California's most acclaimed producers.

The Sangiacomo family are master viticulturists and multigenerational winegrowers who have been farming since 1927. Their cool, windswept vineyard in Sonoma’s Carneros region is ideally located bordering San Pablo Bay, where the grapes slowly mature, developing intense varietal character, while retaining excellent acidity and finesse.

This rich, glistening golden yellow, silky Chardonnay shows aromas of sweet fruit, floral, lemon curd, brioche, a hint of toasted oak, and nutmeg that is framed by the perfect amount of acidity and minerality. The palate is packed with texture and flavor that is rich and creamy. The finely integrated acidity adds brightness and lifts the palate creating balance and a mouth-feel that is alluring leading to a lingering finish. You want more with each taste! The 2021 Chappellet Sangiacomo Chardonnay is delicious and a reminder of the excellent wines being produced from Chappellet.
