The Hermann J Wiemer Josef Vineyard Riesling is classified as an Auslese “late harvest” bottling. This wine glistens upon opening with a pure golden yellow color. There is a wealth of fresh orchard fruits inside, with undertones of candied pineapple, caramelized yellow citrus, ginger and lime zest shavings. There is impeccable purity and freshness to this wine that keeps the modest sugars in line. The wine is so cleanly balanced with acidity that as it leaves your palate, you’re wanting another sip over and over again. This bottling can be savored on its own or with a summer fruit tart.
