This wine is a blend of several clones of Pinot Noir sourced from the Aegrina Vineyard in the McMinnville AVA. It was aged for 14 months in French Oak Barrels (17%new). The 2022 La Biblioteca Estate Reserve Pinot Noir is one of those masterfully crafted treasures you rarely find. The wine has a glimmering ruby edge with aromatic scents of purple violets, exotic dried fruits and savory herbs. Upon entering you are greeted by assortment of mixed red berries and strawberry compote. As this complex wine unfurls further it transitions to warm black fruits of muddled blueberries and black plums with hints of gravely earth and sagebrush, emerging in the background. The wine remains focused and dances gently across your palate to a gratifying and lingering finish. Quite an accomplishment for La Biblioteca’s entry level Pinot Noir.
