2022 Siduri Soberanes Vineyard Pinot Noir
Texas native Adam Lee started his career in wine sales and as a wine buyer for Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas. Adam and Dianna Novy moved to Sonoma County in 1993 and in 1994 founded Siduri wines. Their first release was a modest production of 107 cases of Pinot Noir which received 90 points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. The production grew to 25,000 cases by 2015. In 2015 Adam sold Siduri wines to the Jackson Family Wines.Today, winemaking at Siduri is under the guidance of Matt Revelette.
The Soberanes Vineyard was planted and farmed by the Pisoni and Franscioni families in 2006. It spends 10 months in 40% New French Oak Barrels. The glistening garnet rim reveals alluring high-toned aromatics of crushed red raspberries and white garden flowers. The gorgeous layers of succulent ripe fruits take center stage with a creamy mid-palate offering an endless concentration of orchard berries, creme de cassis and black plum puree woven together with a hint of finely chiseled stones giving it lift, along with black tea, vanilla and melted chocolate. The finish is long and graceful. This is an impressive piece of craftsmanship by Siduri.
