Rob and Diana Jensen’s passion for fine wine and food led to the development of Testarossa Winery. They met while electrical engineering students at Santa Clara University and dated over long dinners with good wine. While both went on to pursue careers in high tech, a weekend winemaking hobby eventually turned into the dream of owning a winery. This was possible due to Rob’s twenty-year high-tech career in sales and marketing. As the winery began to grow in prominence, Diana was the first to leave her tech job and run the winery full-time. 

The 2022 Testarossa Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard hails from two blocks on the estate, including one planted as early as 1997. This wine is one for aging! It is a serious Pinot Noir from the lauded Pisoni Vineyard yielding insane depth and concentration with big bold flavors and layers of rich concentrated fruit. The color is pure ruby with aromas of rose petals, black cherry, baking spices, cola, notes of herbs and a hint of toasted oak. The palate is complex with multiple layers of richly concentrated stone fruit, plum and dark cherry, dark licorice, and black tea. The tannins are finely grained and quite supple with each taste. The finish goes on and on! The Testarossa Pisoni Pinot Noir needs time to continue developing into one of the great ones from the 2022 vintage.
