Located in South Australia, Eden Valley is home to some of the oldest plantings of Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine growing region dates back to 1847 with rolling hillsides that are situated at elevations ranging up to 1,600 feet and growing conditions that are ideal for cool climate grapes such as Riesling.

The 2023 Pinfolds Bin 51 Riesling is pale yellow in color with a green tinge on the edges. It yields aromas of crushed chalk intermixed with lemon-lime citrus. Within is an offering of green and red apple blossoms, quince, sea salt and pink grapefruit. At this point in its development the flavors are slightly restrained, yet it offers plenty of minerality and tension suggesting a long and graceful life in the bottle.
