Champagne Louis Roederer Collection 245

Chef du Cave, Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon was instrumental in crafting this multi-vintage blend from the house of Champagne Louis Roederer in response to the evolving climate change. Collection 245 is a multi-vintage blend that was initiated three years ago. The Collection 245 is crafted from a Perpetual Reserve of 35% oak-aged reserve wines, complemented by the finest wines from the 2020 harvest aged for nearly four years in the cellar. They describe it as “an evolution in structure, form and style. “ Roederer’s historical origins are represented in this blend of 1/3 from the "La Rivière" Estate, 1/3 from the "La Montagne" Estate and 1/3 from the "La Côte" Estate. This Champagne displays the true pedigree that made the house of Champagne Louis Roederer famous.

I have always admired and savored the house style from Champagne Louis Roederer. This cuvée is composed of 41% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 24% Meunier. A fine bead of bubbles with aromas of buttered toast lead to a vibrant introduction. Lemon blossoms and stone peach are accented with smoky elements, ground minerals and hints of salinity. It finishes vibrant and bright.
