The winemaker describes the “R” Rose as a unique, multi-vintage, proprietary blend that offers the exotic complexity one might find in a Bandol Rose. I found this wine to be particularly intriguing and would agree with this assessment. The aromas of tropical flowers lead to fresh cut strawberries and a delicate chalkiness. The palate reveals a whisper of fresh acidity, minerality, tart red raspberries and a creamy core. It culminates with a refreshing finish. I really loved this rose´ from Domaine Serene. It is a pleasant alternative to some of the best rose´ in the market!
